FANN 2017 Annual Membership Meeting at Perkins Nursery in LaBelle

FANN’s Annual Membership Meeting will be held Friday, December 15, 2017 at Debbie & Danny Perkins’ wholesale nursery in LaBelle, Florida. Perkins Nursery is wholesale-only, has been producing more than 40 years and may be best known for ornamental quality palms, including several different native species plus Coonties. Debbie Perkins also retails palms online to a premium market. She will discuss this experience as part of a panel session featuring a variety of online sales and marketing experiences shared by FANN members.

  • 12:00-1:00 Luncheon hosted by Perkins Nursery
  • 1:00-2:30 Professional Development Panel Session: Online Sales & Presence, real world experiences with B2B and retail online sales and marketing.
    • Debbie Perkins will talk about her experience selling premium quality native palms online via eBay.
    • Bruce Turley will talk about Wilcox Nursery & Landscape’s experience marketing and selling plants online with local delivery to retail customers as well as marketing native landscaping to commercial businesses in the area. Wilcox now has a team of designers busily turning out native landscape designs that the nursery installs.
    • Amy Webb of Mail-Order Natives will talk about their experience selling native plants online. Mail-Order Natives was the first FANN member to sell retail native plants online, moving from old school garden catalog to e-commerce.
    • Sharon Dolan of Maple Street Natives Nursery will talk about their experience using Square to provide an online retail store and sales. Maple Street Natives Nursery was one of the first FANN members to have a website and has continued with the same site which they maintain themselves.
