July 2016 FANN member updates

Congratulations to Heather Blake of Natural Treasures Farm & Nursery on being awarded 2016 Outstanding Chapter Leader Award by FNGLA at FNGLA’s annual convention. Heather is the current president of the Frontrunners Chapter serving North Central Florida. We are so proud of Heather and thrilled to see her good work highlighted in this video.

Welcome back, Plant Creations, a mostly native wholesale nursery in Homestead.

Thanks to All Native Garden Center & Plant Nursery in Fort Myers for volunteering to conduct the first public plant sale to benefit FANN’s Plant Real Florida education campaign, Aug. 20-21, 2016. All Native will be promoting pollinator plants in honor of National Bee Day. A portion of the proceeds from the sale will be donated to FANN. THANKS, John, Nico, Jay and everyone for helping us out.

Green Seasons Nursery is venturing into the brave new world of ecommerce with a new website to debut this fall, offering online ordering of native plants. The site is being developed by LocalDirective, our digital marketing partner.

Anne Cox of ecolo-G recently completed two years of service as President of the Florida Native Plant Society, and we can count on her to be one of the most active past presidents FNPS has ever had. We’ve never seen her run out of energy.
