At My Dragonfly Gardens, LLC, we are passionate about the creation of natural habitats that serve as corridors to wildlife. We use native plants in our landscape designs to add colors, food sources and styles for our clients. In addition to landscape design, we do installations and maintenance that is tailored to our clients’ end-goals, while it is in complete harmony with nature.

Though we’ve been in the industry since 2016, with decades of gardening experience, My Dragonfly Gardens was first founded in April 2020 and restructured earlier this year. During the first 12 months, our workforce grew over 700% and is currently looking to double it to meet demand.
We are looking to hire personable, trustworthy gardeners who feel comfortable working with technology
- Part-time with potential to full-time
- Reliable transportation
- Must be eligible to work in the USA and have a valid driver’s license with a clean record
- Our coverage area consists mostly of Lake, Orange, and Sumter counties, and growing into Marion and Seminole. We are based in Minneola, FL.
Qualifications:
- Must like gardening
- Is fit to work outdoors in most weather conditions and occasionally around a body of water (i.e. lake, ponds, canals)
- Able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
- Must be able to work on his/her feet for long periods of time
- Able to repeatedly get up and down from his/her knees to feet
- Smartphone with operating systems compatible with our work applications (Android 5 or later and iPhones running iOS 10.0 or later) and GPS service.
Ideal skills (training is available), responsibilities, and duties:
- Experience in gardening a plus and experience with native a PLUS+
- Hand weeding, manual hedge trimming, pruning, and clean-up
- Digging correct holes for planting, correct mulching, and hauling dirt, mulch, gravel, rocks, etc.
- Occasional sod/turf removal and edging
- Experience with irrigation repairs and installation
- Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs., bend and move about freely and work outside in the Central Florida summer heat.
Ideal candidates:
- Experience is not required but preferred in residential landscape installation and maintenance. Leadership opportunities will be discussed with the right candidate.
- Career-minded permanent employee is encouraged to apply
- Very detail oriented
knowledge of plant IDs is a PLUS+
- Clean driving record
- Must have reliable transportation
- High school graduate
- Must speak, read and write English; bilingual is a plus
- Must be a team player, dependable and self-motivated
- Some positions require to pass a background check
- Able to work efficiently and effectively with little or no supervision is preferred
- Starting pay depends on experience and credentials
We normally work Monday through Friday from 8 AM (earlier in the hottest days of the summer) until the job is completed. Some overtime is expected between June and September. Some positions are seasonal, perfect for summer breaks.
