Nancy Bissett presents 10 Easy Wildflowers at 2014 Landscape Show

Nancy Bissett of The Natives will present 10 Easy Wildflowers at 10:30am and again at 11:30am THURSDAY, SEPT. 25th on the Main Stage as part of the FNGLA Landscape Show, Orange County Convention Center, Orlando. On behalf of FANN and the Florida Wildflower Foundation, Nancy will show and discuss popular commercially available native wildflowers and how to use them in the landscape, including Blanketflower, Blackeyed Susans, Blazing Stars, Coreopsis species, Goldenrods, Spotted Beebalm, Salvias, Silphiums, Silver-leaved Aster and Sunflower. Her presentation will share new information resulting from FDOT’s study on the benefits of using native wildflowers on our roadsides — about $500 million worth! Nancy will also share handouts and copies of the 10 Easy Wildflowers Planting Guide included with FANN’s new Guide for Real Florida Gardeners.

FNGLA invited presentations under the heading of “The Buzz about Bees, Butterflies & Pollinators” and of course native plants should dominate that discussion, so with Nancy’s help, FANN is happy to oblige.
