Native wildflower liners available – Helianthus & Helenium species

Joe Reams at Southern Habitats (formerly known as Sandy Ford Restorations) is filling an order for 150,000 tubelings of Helianthus angustifolius, H. radula and Helenium autumnale (sneezeweed – new to our list!).

He will have 15,000-20,000 left over and would love to sell them to FANN nurseries looking for great native wildflowers for ornamental use or wetland restoration.

These tubelings come 50 to a tray, cells are 4.5″ deep and 2.25″ in diameter on the top. They need to grow some more roots and will be ready for planting in April. Joe is willing to hold them until then if needed.

Price – single tray requests – $1.00/each or $50/tray

For 1000 plants or more, $.65/each or $650/1000.

MARKETING TIP – the 2012 Guide for Real Florida Gardeners has a HELIANTHUS FEATURE sponsored by the Florida Wildflower Foundation. This will be extended and repurposed via our PlantRealFlorida.org website. So Helianthus species will be getting some good promo and retailers are likely to see some requests for these plants. Be prepared.
