From 2013-2017, FANN sponsored the Real Florida Landscapes Design Competition. During that time, we received 59 submissions from both professionals and students. This page lists the winners for each year. In 2018, FANN collaborated with the Native Plant Horticulture Foundation to sponsor a Showcase Native Landscape Program for the Bradenton Area Convention Center. In 2019, FANN resumed the Real Florida Landscapes Design Competition in partnership with the Native Plant Horticulture Foundation.
2019 winners
FANN’s partner, Native Plant Horticulture Foundation, collaborated with the University of Florida’s spring Planting Design Studio class to develop concepts for redesigning the courtyard entry to the 1900 Building, located in historic downtown Melbourne, Florida. Students made site visits and developed conceptual designs. Thirteen students submitted their designs for evaluation by a team of eight judges, including landscape architects, native landscape design and installation experts, and an ecology professor.
